roothide Bootstrap 2.0 (Stable)
Full featured bootstrap for iOS 15-17, A8-A17 Pro & M1+M2. Latest: 2.0 stable (Mar 2026) adds hiding of more jailbreak traces and rolls up beta improvements (system/daemon injection, auto re-inject, watchdog).
What is roothide Bootstrap?
roothide Bootstrap is a comprehensive bootstrap solution for iOS devices running iOS 15.0 through 17.0, supporting a wide range of devices from A8 to A17Pro processors, as well as M1 and M2 chips. It provides a full-featured jailbreak environment using the roothide framework.
Unlike traditional jailbreaks, roothide Bootstrap offers a unique approach to iOS modification, allowing you to customize your device while maintaining system integrity. It combines the Procursus bootstrap with Sileo or Zebra package managers and per-app tweak injection, so you can run many jailbreak tweaks without a full system jailbreak. Learn more in our about page and roothide vs jailbreak comparison.
Why choose roothide Bootstrap? It evades most jailbreak detection (so banking and restricted apps often work), requires only TrollStore (no kernel exploit), and supports iOS versions that many other tools don't cover. You get app-level tweak injection with control over which apps are modified.
